Wint Trump in 2020? Of zal hij zijn verlies verklaren als een grote overwinning? In ‘Leaving Trumpland’ komen we erachter hoe we Trump achter ons kunnen laten. Maar - als Trump wint – zal Shapiro eerst zijn felicitaties aanbieden aan de echte winnaar: Vladimir Poetin. Daarna wordt het persoonlijk voor Shapiro. Greg Shapiro (‘Netherlands Second’ video, Zondag Met Lubach) presents a survival guide for the 2020 US election & Donald J Trump: “The J is for Genius.” In Leaving Trumpland, Shapiro’s US family finally stops asking “When are you coming back home,” and starts asking “Can I move to the Netherlands with you?”

For Shapiro, it’s personal. This year brought a COVID-related death in the family, directly due to Trump’s fantasyland mismanagement. If Trump wins, is it even worth having a US passport anymore? Shapiro’s kids have US citizenship, but the only advantage is their Dutch bank accounts were canceled. Leaving Trumpland. Whether he wins or loses, we’re all fired.
