The Hidden is a real place underground. A place under the layer of debris that separates the surface from the underworld. Tonight, you will be taken along to see what cannot stand the light of day. To rebel against what is expected of you above ground. You can breathe underground.

Join Nastia Cistakova, our guide to the Hidden, and confront your own Instagram face during this workshop. Using various materials, you will transform your face into a new, distinctive look. You don't have to become more beautiful. You don't even have to remain recognizable. So pull, paste, build, deform, and derail. What if, instead of a lip flip, you had giant cat-like whiskers sewn onto your face? Or a tea spout for a nose? What emerges when your inside is allowed to surface?

Speaker

Nastia Cistakova is an illustrator, artist and performer who mainly focusses on human rights. In her art she takes on the role of commentator of the socio-cultural aspects of modern life. Nastia uses art-making as a way to make sense of the chaos in her head and share these thoughts with others.
